Ever since I can remember, I have been exploring, seeking adventure.  It all started in the outskirts of a small town in Poland, Zlocieniec, where I grew up.  Always more interested in seeing things than schoolwork, I would sneak away into the forests and fields that were only a few blocks away from where we lived.  On Christmas, many years ago, I received as a gift a metal car propelled by pedals, a perfect replica of a Russian sedan, and my parents couldn’t keep me inside!  Real adventures really began a few short years later once my parents presented me with my first bike.  As soon as I learned to ride unassisted, off I went to who knows where!  What a headache I became for my parents who were worried sick when I would disappear early in the day and not show up till

late in the day…without telling a soul where I was off to!  I didn’t know where I was riding to, but it was always the pursuit of what was around the next bend.  I would lose my riding privilages for a week or two, but then I was off again!

My love for adventure and exploration has not changed; in fact, it has grown over the years.  I am sure that the fact that my parents loved to travel had an impact on me…that curiosity I had in me was always fed, and I must thank them for that.  These travels, along with my parents’ desire to live away from the then communist Poland, have brought us to the West, via Italy.  Living in San Diego for many years introduced me to the otherworldly landscapes of the desert, a place I never imagined existed.  Even though I no longer live in that region, a piece of my heart remains in the desert.

The trails I explore now are in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest.  And the biggest joy for me is to be exploring and sharing the adventures with my wonderful wife, Heather!  We travel as much as we can, looking for those fantastic moments and places that make our hearts skip a beat.

The photography is an extension of my love of seeing new lands, great and small, near and far.  I had my first camera when I was 11 years old and have been exploring with one ever since.

I am very thankful that God has allowed me to see and experience so much!  It is a blessing beyond words.

It is my hope that you enjoy the images I share here as much as I have enjoyed experiencing and capturing these beautiful places.

Thank you for visiting!
