Each season I enjoy walking through Seattle's beautiful arboretum. On this particular cool autumn day I was taken by the incredible variety of colors and branch patterns on this gorgeous Japanese maple growing by a small pond.

It had rained earlier and the moisture saturated the colors and made each delicate leaf stand out even more. And the sweetness of the air was simply intoxicating...
